Hi, I am Yassine Addoula, the person behind PetsCrochet, and the fluffy face beside me is Skyla.

PetsCrochet began with a simple idea: pet crochet should feel inspiring enough to save, clear enough to make, and thoughtful enough to put a pet’s comfort first. This is a place for people who love yarn, love animals, and want handmade projects that feel personal without becoming complicated.

A small idea with a practical purpose

I created PetsCrochet to bring useful pet crochet ideas into one warm, easy-to-follow home. You will find decorative collars, cozy accessories, seasonal projects, beginner-friendly lessons, and printable PDF tutorials designed to help you move from inspiration to the first stitch.

The goal is not to make every pet wear everything. The goal is to offer realistic ideas, explain the construction honestly, and help you decide whether a project suits your pet.

What you will find here

  • Pinterest-friendly idea collections with enough detail to compare styles before choosing a project.
  • Step-by-step crochet guides written in plain language, with measurements, materials, stitch guidance, fit notes, and finishing tips.
  • Downloadable PDF tutorials that keep the project instructions together when you are working away from the screen.
  • Pet-first reminders about comfort, movement, supervision, breakaway hardware for cats, and safe decorative use.

How PetsCrochet approaches inspiration

Pinterest is full of beautiful possibilities, but a lovely picture is only the beginning. Some images on PetsCrochet may be created or edited to illustrate a design concept. They are not treated as proof that a pattern has been made or fit-tested.

A tutorial should only be described as tested after the item has been physically crocheted, measured, finished, and checked on the intended type and size of pet. Until then, it is clearly presented as a prototype or inspiration guide. That distinction matters here.

Pet comfort comes before the photograph

Crochet collars and neck accessories shown on PetsCrochet are decorative pieces for supervised wear. Crochet fabric is not load-bearing safety equipment and should never replace a secure walking collar, identification collar, leash, or harness.

For cats, a crochet design should be a lightweight cover or decoration added without disabling a properly functioning breakaway collar. Remove any accessory if it affects breathing, swallowing, movement, hearing, grooming, or normal behavior. The tutorials on this site are general craft information, not veterinary advice or safety-equipment guidance.

Meet Skyla

Skyla is my lovely cat and a gentle reminder of what this site should always feel like: warm, calm, curious, and real. She is not a prop. Her comfort sets the standard for every idea we share.
